A last-minute weekend road trip to Chicago brought an opportunity to work on a few pano photos. Above: Cardinals vs. Cubs.
And I’m happy to report that St. Louisans saw a winner! I’m happier to report that we witnessed Yadi smack one out and heard “Yadi! Yadi! Yadi!” chanted throughout Wrigley Field by the Cardinal invasion. It was beautiful.
But I grudgingly admit that the Cubs fans were a lot of fun. I really enjoyed our hosts. With the exception of the world’s oldest, crankiest fan who sat directly in front of me. But that’s a long story. Suffice it to say that someone should have pulled his beer after the fourth inning.
After the game, we headed to Navy Pier for dinner and a ride on the ferris wheel.
Two words: that view.
But then there was this view. This was the view from our hotel. Oh my.
The view with daylight.

Before we headed home today, we stopped by Millennium Park for an art installation. The ball game was my kids’ reason for our road trip; this art installation was mine. Photos will follow below the panos.
Turns out that there was an air show going on today and some advertisers took advantage of the eyes searching the skies.
We rented bikes and rode along the shore. It was so neat to see the air show in progress while we pedaled along. Click below to see details and you’ll see four planes.
Now we’re home safe and sound, summer is officially over.
We managed to cram a lot of fun in a very small window.
Here are a few more photos from the weekend. This is a better detail of our hotel room view.

Glow in the dark toy purchased at Navy Pier. He’s proud. Of the sword and the shirt.
And just because it was cool…the hotel’s chandeliers.
Next time I go to Chicago, I wanna go with you!! Looks like you had a ton of fun!
